Highlights from the first match in Group B between France and Argentina at the 2017 Overwatch World Cup.
For the first round of the Overwatch World Cup in Shanghai, China, Team France consisting of the entire Rogue roster kicked off the action in Group B with an exciting series against Team Argentina.
Despite the match ending in a 4-0 for Team France, Argentina managed to put up a good fight, making for a series of competitive maps. One of the highlights of the series were the Tracer battles between Argentina’s DPS player, Klaus, and one of the best players in the West, SoOn.
Argentina finishes off the day with a 0-4, but can be proud of their standout performance as the underdog team against the Rogue roster who is anticipated to be one of the favorites to win the entire tournament.
The Overwatch World Cup is an international tournament with the national teams from the 32 participating countries battling it out over the course of the summer in four separate qualifiers around the world hosted in China, Australia, Poland, and the United States.
Two groups will compete at each of the Group Stage qualifiers in a Round Robin format with the top from each group moving onto a single elimination bracket. The first place team from each group will play the second place team in the opposite group. The winners of this stage will both move on to the live playoffs at BlizzCon 2017.
