Legacy storytelling

Legacy videos

A legacy video is a documentary about a life: a parent, a founder, a family, a company. Akshon brings the same crew and craft that produced films watched by millions to video biography work, so the story that matters most to you is told to the standard it deserves.

What we do

Life

Life story documentaries

A filmed life story built from interviews, archival photos, and the places that matter: a video biography made to be watched for generations.

Family

Family legacy films

Multi-voice family history videos that capture parents and grandparents in their own words, before the stories are gone.

Company

Company history films

Founder-to-present company legacy documentaries for milestones and anniversaries, told with the narrative care of our broadcast work.

Archive

Memoir & archival restoration

Old tapes, photos, and letters woven into the film, digitized, restored, and returned with the finished piece.

Why a documentary studio for a legacy film

Most legacy video services are a camera and a chair. Akshon spent a decade making history documentaries that held the attention of millions of strangers. We bring that structure and polish to a story your family or company will watch forever, and we treat the responsibility accordingly.

A patient, private process

Legacy work runs at the subject's pace. Interviews are unhurried conversations, often across more than one sitting. Nothing is published anywhere: you own the film and every frame of footage outright.

Frequently asked questions

What does a legacy video include?
A filmed interview or set of interviews, archival photos and documents woven through the edit, licensed music, colour and sound finishing, and delivery as a finished documentary plus the raw footage for your archive.
How long does a video biography take to make?
Typically four to eight weeks from first interview to final film, with review rounds included. Rush timelines for health or milestone reasons are always accommodated: tell us and we will make it work.
Is this only for families, or for companies too?
Both. Family life story films and company history videos are the same craft: research, interviews, archive, and a story structure that holds. Corporate legacy films are a natural fit for anniversaries and founder transitions.
Who owns the finished film and footage?
You do, entirely. We keep nothing without written permission and can work under NDA from the first call.
