Rocket League is generally not considered a "Tier 1" esports title...at least not yet.
From having a low barrier of entry while maintaining a high skill ceiling in addition to having one of the most spectator-friendly viewing experiences, by all accounts Rocket League has the makings of a great esport.
However, despite all the things Rocket League has going for itself as a competitive title, it has yet to reach "Tier 1" status and rank among the titans of the industry, CS:GO, League of Legends, and Dota 2.
In today's video we will explore the state of Rocket League esports, its popularity and look into if it even matters if the game is considered "Tier 1."
