Toronto Defiant - Overwatch League Season 2 Team Preview

The Toronto Defiant are one of the two new Canadian franchises joining the Overwatch League this and will be competing for supremacy when Season 2 kicks off on Feb. 14

The team is owned by OverActive Media Group Inc, a North American esports company led by Chris Overholt, President, and CEO, and features investors such as tech entrepreneur Sheldon Pollack, venture capitalist Adam Adamou and Michael Kimel, part-owner of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Team operations will be managed by Splyce, a veteran esports organization that is known for having supported players across various titles including Halo, Call of Duty, but most will know of the brand from their time as one of the mainstays in the last few years in the EU LCS and now as a franchise team in the LEC.

As of Nov. 21, the Toronto-based ownership group announced the acquisition of Spylce to expand their esports portfolio to include 7 more teams.
