The 2XKO Situation Is Bad

Things aren’t looking so good for Riot’s new fighting game. 2XKO was supposed to be the next big fighting game, but years of reworks and delays led to the game taking nearly 10 years to complete.

Originally called Project L, fans were incredibly excited for a fighting game featuring characters from across the League of Legends IP. Darius, Ahri, Yasuo, Blitzcrank, Teemo. Fan favourites duking it out one-on-one. But during development, Project L went from a 2D fighter to a tag fighter, got rebranded to 2XKO, and gave fans very little information during its development.

In this video, we’re going to explore all the reasons 2XKO has been struggling, and why it hasn’t lived up to many players’ expectations. It was supposed to rival Street Fighter, Tekken, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Guilty Gear Strive, and many others, but is now being threatened by games like Marvel Tokon. Will 2XKO be able to survive the waves of layoffs and naysayers? Only time will tell.
