Sweden vs Spain Overwatch World Cup 2017 Sydney group stage finals highlights.

Spain goes up against Sweden in a high stakes match that will determine which team will be the ones to advance to BlizzCon 2017 for the Overwatch World Cup finals.

Spain was a team who looked shaky after their first day in the group stage as they attempted to figure out a game plan and mesh as a unit, but managed to recover later in the tournament. Aside from their 2-2 match against Portugal on Day 1, Sweden has been dominating the competition. Even Team Australia who fielded a roster consisting entirely of the members of Blank Esports was not enough to stop this powerhouse team from making their way to the finals. Reinforced has been learning a new set of heroes in the absence of a primary tank player on his team and was adjusting to his role as the Winston by Day 2 of the event.

The difference this series came down to the difference in the mechanical abilities between the members of Sweden and Spain. By the end of the day, Sweden came out ahead in a 3-0 victory rush to punch their ticket and will be joining Australia at BlizzCon 2017 later this fall.

National teams from the 32 participating countries battling it out over the course of the summer in four separate qualifiers around the world hosted in China, Australia, Poland, and the United States.

Two groups will compete at each of the Group Stage qualifiers in a Round Robin format with the top from each group moving onto a single elimination bracket. Each series features four maps with teams seeded based on average Skill Rating. Map priority is given to the higher seeded team for the first map of the series. It is important to remember that these matches are not a best-of-three series and will focus on winning as many maps as possible as the two teams with the most points by the end of the Round Robin stage will advance to the next round,

The first place team from each group will play the second place team in the opposite group. The winners of this stage will move on to the live playoffs at BlizzCon 2017.
