Orisa Professional Esports Tournament Debut - Overwatch Carbon Series

Orisa may have been released only a few days ago, but she has already seen some successful play in two professional matches at the Overwatch Carbon Series.

Last night in her first professional debut, Luminosity Gaming Evil's Jacob "Jake" Lyon locked in Orisa as one of his team's tanks as they faced off against Team Liquid on the Sanctum map of Nepal. Initially, many had thought that the Orisa was just a "troll" pick while teams were still in their respective spawn rooms as seen through most of the night until Jake decided to charge forward with Overwatch's anchor tank and actually found moderate success.

In the second game of the night, Immortals' George "Hyped" Maganzini also decided to give Orisa a try as his team faced off against compLexity Gaming on Nepal's Village stage in the third and final map of the night. With only two entrances onto the capture point, Hyped used his shield to wall off one of the openings, allowing his team to push in to capture the point. The use of Orisa threw compLexity off guard as they sent some members to try to take her down, but due to a lack of experience playing against the quadrupedal hero, Christopher "GrimReality" Schaefer and Brady "Agilities" Girardi were able to clean up while their enemy was trying to get a grasp of how to handle the situation.

The Overwatch Carbon Series is a North American tournament series hosted by Carbon Entertainment featuring some of the best professional teams in North America.
