Final Sprint For Playoffs - Overwatch League Preview: Stage 3 Week 5 | Head 2 Head

With Stage 3 coming to a close, we find ourselves in the final stretch as teams gear up to play their last few matches in Week 5 before another Stage champion is crowned on Sunday.

Currently, in the standings, we have LA Gladiators, LA Valiant, NYXL and Boston Uprising occupying the top four spots in the Stage 3 rankings. Unlike previous Stage playoffs, the cut off has been extended to four teams with a new best-of-one elimination formation.

The Boston Uprising are narrowly ahead of the New York Excelsior by one map differential, so depending on how this week's regular-season games play out, we could have a new leader. The LA Gladiators will also have to secure a win over Boston this week to ensure their place in the playoffs.

Still in contention for a playoffs spot this Stage, Seoul Dynasty, Houston Outlaws, SF Shock, and Philadelphia Fusion are all tied regarding Win/Loss record at 4 to 4, but with a slight difference in overall map point differential.

As a perk of ending the Stage in first place once the regular games have come to a conclusion, the top seed team can choose their opponent in their first playoff match and in turn also determine the matchup on the other side of the bracket.
