The Dallas Fuel Paris Bunker Comp | Behind The Akshon

Stage 2 of the Overwatch League saw the addition of not only a new hero in Baptiste but also Paris entering the competition map pool.

Initially, the game’s newest map was a mystery to both teams and viewers alike with no defined "meta" strategy set in stone. However, due to the geometry of the map objectives and proximity to the relative spawn points, most teams have opted into running an Orisa-Bastion-Baptiste bunker, which we covered in our previous episode.

Out of the twenty teams in the Overwatch League, the Dallas Fuel is a team, according to their assistant coach Jayne, has apparently put a lot of time into mastering the intricacies of this map.

After hours of planning and practice, the Dallas Fuel were able to harvest the fruits of their labor after devising a strategy with the non-conventional placement of their Baptiste bunker to catch unprepared teams like the Toronto Defiant off-guard.

UPDATE 06/08/2019: We would like to make a correction. The LA Gladiators were the first ones to run this composition on Paris in the Overwatch League during their Stage 2 Week 1 match against the Seoul Dynasty. According to Gladiators head coach Dpei, this composition was something that Surefour had in mind and through random iteration with the team ended up playing it on Paris.
