Team EnVyUs Overwatch Contenders NA Post-Game Press Conference | OW Esports

On Oct 8th, Team EnVyUs defeated FaZe Clan in a landslide 4-0 victory to become the champions of Overwatch Contenders North America Season One.

We had a chance to attend the post-game press conference after the semifinals match against FNRGFE to speak with the NV players and get their thoughts on playing on stage, the state of the game, and what they expect from the Overwatch League come 2018.

The coach for team EnVyUs, KyKy, was in the back of the room so our audio recording was not setup to properly pickup his voice when he chimed in to answer a question.

Overwatch Contenders is a tournament aimed towards aspiring players who want to make a name for themselves in the professional scene and have a taste at playing in a competitive LAN environment. Season Zero was held earlier this summer and was open to all teams to determine the top teams from each region to compete in Season One.

Season One featured star players such as Taimou, EFFECT, Mickie from EnVyUs, aKm, SoOn, uNKOE from Rogue, TviQ from Misfits, Agilities, Kariv, GrimReality from Immortals, Kruise from eUnited, ShaDowBurn from FaZe, among others. The playoffs for Contenders NA & EU were held in Blizzard's new Los Angeles based esports arena.
