Team Brazil is made up of the members of "Brasil Gaming House", whose roster has dominated their region's Overwatch scene ever since the first major Brazilian tournament, Liga Brasileira de Overwatch Preseason, and have yet to drop a series. This team made their first international debut earlier in the year at the Alienware Monthly Melee March 2017 where they managed to upset Team RunAway 2-1 in the Lower Bracket, but fell to Immortals 0-2 in their next match and had their run cut short.

The World Cup saw this team face new foes and challenges that have helped them grow over the course of the tournament and opened their eyes to what they need to improve upon.

One of the key issues addressed in the press conference was the state of the Brazilian esports ecosystem and how a lack of infrastructure is holding the region back from being an esports powerhouse despite the massive local fan base.
