We had a chance to catch up with Ryan Ford to get this thoughts on the state of the Canadian Smash Melee scene, figure out where he draws inspiration from for his Fox, and the origins of his Unknow522 tag.

Ryan Ford was an active member of the Smash community and was on the rise as a player to keep an eye on, but after a series of controversies in 2013, he was banned from competing in a majority of tournaments. It wasn't until 2015 that his ban was lifted after deliberation between Toronto's top players and TOs, but despite having spent a considerable time away from competitive play, Ford had continued to refine his play and returned to the scene better than ever.
