Paladins Strike Copies Overwatch Art, Competitive Updates, Pink Mercy Charity Event | Akshon Recap

Paladins Strike has been frequently compared with Overwatch, as both games occupy the hero shooter genre. Hi-Rez Studios were called out this week for using a piece of map artwork sharing many similarities to Lijiang Tower prompting a response from the developers.

After all the complaints from the community about how new content is added to Competitive, the Overwatch developer team has decided to fast forward when new heroes and maps can be played in ranked.

“With today’s May 22nd patch, we made Rialto available in competitive play instead of waiting until the next competitive season on July 1.

In the future, our plan is to make new heroes and maps available in competitive play two weeks after their initial release.”

At the end of the Pink Mercy Charity event, Jeff Kaplan made a surprise appearance on Emongg's stream discussing the unprecedented success of the event looking at how the community has raised almost $10 million as of May 17th.

The Overwatch League features the best players in the world, including Dallas Fuel's Taimou, EFFECT, Seagull, NYXL’s Saebyeolbe, JjoNak, Libero, Seoul Dynasty's Ryujehong, Miro, London Spitfire's Birdring, Profit, among others.
