Overwatch Player's Guide To Valorant - Riot Games' New FPS Explained

Riot Games' new tactical shooter, Valorant, has been making headlines recently following a major information drop about the game with a tentative release date in the summer of 2020.

Making use of their robust Riot Direct network infrastructure, Valorant players can expect to have 128 tick servers, 35 ms latency as well as being able to run the game on most PCs built within the last decade. Valorant features a cast of characters known as "agents", each with their own unique set of abilities and an ultimate with a focus on utility and vision control, while gunplay will still be the main means of trading.

The game will be free to play on release with a paid battle pass system in addition to an in-game microtransaction store to by cosmetics for your agents.

Many people have already begun to draw similarities of this title with the likes of CS:GO and Overwatch, but how close does Valorant resemble its predecessors and what can you expect from Riot Games' new FPS?
