MonteCristo started a bit of controversy this after commenting on how some Korean casters have been reluctant in using Dallas Fuel tank player OGE’s name when discussing the team on stream. Mykles believes that regardless of whether or not a player was a booster, a caster should not be swayed by the opinion of the viewership to the point where it affects their job as a professional who is tasked with delivering as much of unbiased information as possible in the most effective manner to their audience.

The Korean Overwatch community on forums like Inven are split on the matter with some people calling Monte for being unprofessional with his language and that the casters were performing the role just fine without having this issue brought up.

MonteCristo has since apologized for this harsh wording, but still has a firm stance on his beliefs that player names should be mentioned on broadcast as that is the job of a caster unless explicitly told by the Overwatch League otherwise.
