When it came to upsets this season, there have been plenty across the Overwatch League, but none can quite compare to the underdog run that was the Shanghai Dragons that saw them go from the worst team in esports history to Stage 3 Champions.

After struggling to get started in Stage 1 and having to bear the burden of an embarrassing 0-40 legacy the Shanghai Dragons with their new roster had a great deal to prove in 2019.

Luckily with a revamped roster, the team was able to figure out a playstyle in a GOATS dominant meta that works for them and climb their way to the top, taking down the likes of SF Shock and Vancouver Titans along the way, to ultimately claim their first Stage title.
