DJ Khaled Overwatch League Fail, Three New OWL Teams For 2019, Trophy Ceremony Debate | Akshon Recap

DJ Khaled had a less than amazing performance this past weekend at the Overwatch League Grand Finals as the crowd did not seem to resonate with his music making for an awkward experience for everyone both in the arena and watching from home.

Although there has been criticism over the choice of performer, Blizzard has plenty to reflect upon as there were also issues with audio throughout the stadium and how the trophy ceremony was handled. Overall the Overwatch League Grand Finals in New York was a great success and if Blizzard can address these issues, fans can hopefully look forward to an even better event for the Season 2 Finals in 2019.

According to a report by ESPN’s Jacob Wolf, three of the six new franchises joining the Overwatch League for Season 2 will be Paris, Guangzhou, and Atlanta.

Echo Fox co-founder Rick Fox was also spotted at the Overwatch League finals this weekend. Given how there was a potentially owners meeting reportedly between the Cox Group and league commissioner Nate Nanzer, many are speculating that Fox may have also engaged in similar talks about a potentially entering the OWL for Season 2.

The Overwatch League features the best players in the world, including Dallas Fuel's Taimou, EFFECT, Seagull, NYXL’s Saebyeolbe, JjoNak, Libero, Seoul Dynasty's Ryujehong, Miro, London Spitfire's Birdring, Profit, among others.
