For Activision Blizzard, the launch of Warcraft III: Reforged has gone down as one of the greatest failures in the company's history.

After announcing plans for a remastered version of the RTS game that defined a generation and trailblazer the way for future titles in the genre, fan expectations were high.

However, a combination of factors ranging from corporate pressure rushing development to funding issues resulted in a failure to deliver and the subsequent massing issuing of refunds to a frustrated player base.
