Why Is The Ranked Grind So Toxic?

Whether it’s a support refusing to heal because the tank wasn’t able to save them in Overwatch or an ADC running it down and intentionally feeding in League of Legends, ranked modes seem to bring out the worst in people, even without getting into voice and text chat.
