Overwatch Beat Invitational Season 2 – Rogue VS Tempo Storm
Overwatch esports highlights from the opening match of the Overwatch Beat Invitational Season 2 tournament between Rogue and Tempo Storm.
Rogue who have yet to drop a series to a team outside of Korea heads into their quarterfinals match against Tempo Storm as the clear favourites. With title victories including first at TaKe Over 2 and Overwatch PIT Championship, there has yet to be a team that has proven they can outclass Rogue heading into this event.
As for their opponents, Tempo Storm has been steadily gaining recognition as an up-and-coming Western team, but have yet to bring home any notable results. Tempo Storm had their run through Overwatch Contenders Season Zero cut short after a disappointing 0-1-5 finish in the bottom of their group.
Standout players in this match are DreamKazper on Genji who at times would unleash his Dragonblade and give hope to a losing fight. His Genji play allowed for Tempo Storm to fight Rogue every step of the way and helped this team to claim the unexpected first map win over the favorites. uKNOE on his Sombra demonstrated how the Talon hacker has become an important addition to any professional team and the ability of this hero to control the flow of the game up.
The Overwatch Beat Invitational Season 2 featured a $6000 prize pool with some of the best teams in the west such as Immortals, Rogue, FNRGFE, and Arc 6.
