Evolution of Reaper - Overwatch Meta Archives

Reaper, also known as Gabriel Reyes, harks back to the very beginning of Overwatch, solidifying himself in the game and lore as an edgy shotgun-wielding villain shrouded in shadow. Throughout the history of Overwatch, Reaper has been used in various compositions that complement the use of his short-range high-output damage, which is a product of his signature double shotguns.

As the years have come and gone, many minor changes from the devs adjusted Reaper ever so slightly, with a few changing his playstyle entirely. Today, we’re going to look into just how this character has changed and if it was for the better, or for the worse.
